Anna Maria Amato grew up in the historical heart of ancient Naples where she graduated from University with a degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage. From there she went to Florence and obtained a Masters in Management of Cultural Heritage in Florence, where she fell in love with the Vasari corridors and subsequently worked at the Friends of the Uffizi. She transferred to London and added a second Masters Degree in Art and Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art and utilised those skills acquired in the art sector with professional experience in the insurance world when she took up a position in the Fine Art world in Rome. This attracted the attention of Lloyd's of London, the governing body that regulates one of the oldest insurance markets. After two years she was recruited by Willis (now Willis Towers Watson) one of the world's largest insurance brokers, to work in their Fine Art department. She currently lives in London, and for the last three years she has worked in Lockton, the largest privately owned insurance broker, responsible for European Fine Art.
